Book Review

A HOUSE DIVIDED
by Kimberla Lawson Roby

Genre: Mainstream, Multicultural

RT Rating

A House Divided is the latest installment in the Pastor Curtis Black series and the story is just as riveting as the previous ones. Roby will have you totally engrossed, eager to see what twist or turn is just around the corner.

Curtis Black is living the life of a totally changed man, but his past sins continue to haunt him. Utmost on his mind is his concern for his family and his church when his life and ministry is in danger. His wife Charlotte, on the other hand, is still totally self-centered, self-destructive and seemingly unredeemable. She wants what she wants when she wants it, regardless of who may be hurt in the process, including her family. Surprises abound throughout the story but the biggest surprise of all is the unexpected ending. (GRAND CENTRAL, May, 336 pp., $24.99)
