Those bloodthirsty and insanely hilarious dragons are back in Aiken’s newest Dragon Kin book. Eibhear and Izzy have been fabulous supporting characters throughout the series, so it is a real treat to finally read their story. Watching their unconventional courtship unfold is a true delight. If ever there were a pair who put the “fun” in dysfunctional, it’s them!

For the last decade, dragon Eibhear the Blue has been somewhat estranged from his family as he became a member of the Mi-runach special military unit. Meanwhile, human Izzy the Dangerous has become a general in Queen Annwyl’s army. While Izzy used to have a crush on Eibhear, he wanted nothing to do with her … but all that is about to change. Dark forces are stirring and the powerful magic of Rhianwen, Izzy’s little sister, is starting to present a problem. To help her kid sis, Izzy will brave foreign lands and even a hated grandmother, but the real kicker is that Eibhear’s tagging along. (ZEBRA, Sep., 352 pp., $7.99)
