Cowboys are always sexy and the lead character in this novel is no exception. The sex scenes are juicy but not too over-the-top. Each character is essential to the storyline and the plot moves seamlessly. There is also a nice balance of both male and female voices that allow the characters to be well-rounded.

Rodeo cowboy Ridge Cooper is pushed into becoming a mentor at a home for boys after a sports injury and a breakup leave him depressed and lonely. Not known for having luck in love, he is surprised when feelings arise at the sight of social worker Sierra Dunn, a woman who has sworn off love. With her focus on the five boys under her care, she slowly allows Ridge entry into their lives and into her heart. (SOURCEBOOKS, Apr., 416 pp., $7.99)
