Michaels delivers a poignant and highly satisfying read. The second Daughtry family book is filled with simmering sensuality, subtle touches of repartee, a hero out for revenge and a heroine ripe for adventure. You'll enjoy the ride.

Eighteen-year-old Nicole Daughtry, along with her twin sister Lydia, is ready to embark on the
adventure of her life -- her first London season. Her escapades begin when she collides with Lucas Paine, the Marquess of Basingstroke. Though
this saucy minx is a distraction he doesn't need, Lucas still wants to see her again. He finds Nicole to be a challenge with a zest for life.

They enjoy each other, and the
passion that comes with that enjoyment, but his desire for revenge
against a traitor who ruined his family puts them in danger. Lucas will do all
in his power to keep Nicole from
harm from his nemesis. (HQN, Oct.,

How To Tame A Lady / The Daughtry Family/

Submitted by mlacroix on July 14, 2010 - 4:55pm.

Lady Nicole Daughtry has vowed not to be vulnerable to any man. She's seen what her mother has done and vows not to be like her. Lucas Paine, Marquess Of Basingstoke, is searching for the man who brought down his father, when he literally runs into Lady Nicole Daughtry. Lucas feels that Nicole can be the perfect cover for him, and Nicole believes that Lucas can give her the excitement that she's wanting during her London Season.
I have to be honest, when it comes to sequels, sometimes they can be rather boring, but this sequel wasn't. The characters and plot was exciting and fresh and different from the first book. The plot pulled me in and it ended up that I couldn't put the book down.
