A great romance, a nice bit of suspense and a good dose of humor make this addition to Sands’ vampire series a delight. The new villain and the many familiar faces create a story with great entertainment value.

Marguerite Argeneau has a gift for matching immortals with their life mates, which is why ancient immortal Cale Valen has come to Canada — to meet Alex Willan. Alex’s sister Sam refuses to be turned until both of her sisters find immortal mates. Too bad Alex doesn’t know about vampires! Therefore, Cale masquerades as a chef in her restaurant. But since Cale can’t cook, this doesn’t last long. It soon becomes apparent someone is out to stop Alex from opening her second restaurant and Cale, the Argeneaus and their friends come out in force to protect Alex, since there is no doubt that she is Cale’s life mate. It was a wonderful read. It had suspense, family concern and a man trying to win the one for him.

Family concern come in as Alexandra Willan is the last sister who has not found a life mate if she does not she will be cut out of their lives forever. Marguerite our resident nosy matchmaker and her sister Sam are not about to let that happen.

Suspense is up for grabs. Why are all manner of things going wrong lately?

Now there is Cale Valens in the picture. He was sent by Marguerite to see if Alexandra is his life mate. Marguerite is never wrong.

But how to win a woman when she is constantly busy with projects, Cale wins because of his persistence and his concern for Alexandra safety. It is he who finally succeeds in finding out the mysteries that occur in Alexandra’s life.
