Damali Richards—now a full-blown Neturu— is a Vampire Huntress. Damali is grieving because her man, Carlos Rivera, has been killed. Or at least, she thinks he's been killed.

If master vampire Carlos wants to stay alive, he'll have to complete a very specific job. But how can he go on existing without notifying his soul mate, Damali, that he is still alive? Just how long will he do his duty before he finally contacts her and lets her know of his fate?

The third exciting installment of Banks' excellent Vampire Huntress Legend will thrill. Those who enjoyed books 1 and 2 of Banks' vampire series will no doubt revel in The Hunted. Rife with excellent character development, scorching passion, a complex plot and intense pacing, this is an intriguing, gut-wrenching book. (Jun., 512 pp., $14.95)
