HUNTING JULIAN
by Jacquelyn Frank

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

The always inventive Frank kicks off a new series, The Gatherers, by introducing an interdimensional drama about a dying society struggling to survive. The heroine is tough and single-minded, which makes it difficult for her to accept what fate has in store. The rigidity of this new society provides plenty of fodder to shake things up in future chapters. Frank is now a brand name in paranormal romance.

Following her sister's disappearance, Asia Callahan tracks the man she believes responsible. As 13 women have disappeared after being seen with the mysterious Julian, Asia suspects he's a serial killer. By setting herself up as a target, Asia hopes to get answers -- but the truth is not what she expects.

Julian is a gatherer from another dimension, sent to bring women with certain energy patterns back to his starving world. The sexual energy generated by these women helps save his people. Julian is stunned when he realizes he has been stalked and that this feisty human may be something almost unheard of -- his kindra, aka his one true mate. (ZEBRA, Jan., 352 pp., $7.99)
