THE HUSBAND CAMPAIGN
THE HUSBAND CAMPAIGN (4.5) by Regina Scott: Finding Lady Amelia Jacoby asleep in his stable shocks John, Lord Hascot. Even more surprising is when her father confronts John, a mere baron, with the expectation that he will offer for her hand in marriage. Amelia accepts that this her chance to get away from an unhappy home life, but she will have to fight for her husband’s attention. Amelia is up against John’s widowed sister-in-law, who has an agenda that bodes ill for the new couple. The third book in the Master Matchmakers series is pleasingly true to the strict social rules of the time period. Scott’s characters are developed well and a joy to get to know.
