Victoria Simms wants to help her granddaughter Maggie get over the wedding incident where Maggies fianci left her at the altar, so Victoria posts an ad for a handyman. She had no idea she would hit paydirt so quickly when Alex Ross calls and wants to come by to talk about the job.

Maggies first meeting with Alex couldnt have come at a worse time. She is painting her Grans shutters when she slips on the ladder and winds up hanging upside down from the ladder by a rope that gets tangled around her feet. Her first glimpse of Alex is at crotch level.

Maggie is very gun-shy when it comes to men after what Harrison did to her. He not only left her at the altar but his company fired her from her job. Also, Alex is not what he seems. Hes got one very big secret that may just stand in the way of any sort of relationship with Maggie.

This book was a fun read. I found myself totally engrossed in Alexs and Maggies story and Victoria added quite a bit of comic relief with her escapades. (dl $3.95, cd $9.95)
