THE HUSBAND HUNT
THE HUSBAND HUNT (4.5) by Karen Kirst: Sophie Tanner has been like a sister to the O’Malley family for most of her life. It was often Nathan O’Malley who rescued her from the fixes her impulsive behavior got her into. Sophie acts more like a tomboy than a proper lady, but when tragedy strikes and a coldhearted aunt swoops in to take away her brother, she must consider marriage. She turns to Nate for help — in finding a husband, that is. It’s an idea he finds surprisingly distasteful. This addition to Kirst’s Smoky Mountain Matches series has a hero and heroine who play off each other well. The development of all the characters, including a good supporting cast, makes for a fine story.
