Model turned CEO Erika Forrester wants to acquire a second prestigious firm. But its owner is playing hard to get, using Erika's tabloid notoriety as an excuse not to close the deal. Crisply paced and at times very humorous, Leigh Michaels' The Husband Sweepstake (3) doesn't carry much emotional impact, but the interplay between strong-minded Erika and Amos holds the reader's interest.
