There’s never a dull moment in this action-packed thrill ride from the always fun Adair! Hush kicks off a new series with a touch of the paranormal. Take one adrenaline junkie, add in a woman who takes the Boy Scout motto to the extreme, throw in kidnappings, jungle escapes and assassination attempts and you have the makings of a perfect action-adventure. Truly great stuff!

Since her father’s recent death and winning the lotto, Acadia Gray has been acting atypically. Heading to Venezuela with friends is only the start, as Acadia picks up sexy Zakary Stark in a bar. The next morning kidnappers grab Acadia, Zak and his brother Gideon to hold for ransom. Zak and Gideon are worth millions, but is money the only thing behind the kidnappings? The trio is taken deep into the jungle and imprisoned. They manage to escape, but must split up. When Gideon fails to make the rendezvous, Zak and Acadia must place their trust in Zak’s strange new sixth sense. (POCKET STAR, May, 384 pp., $7.99)

Hush is book one in Cherry Adair’s thrilling new Lodestone series. A one night stand leads to being kidnapped by guerillas. It was definitely not what Acadia Gray had planned when she decided to hook up with Zakary Stark after meeting him in a Venezuelan bar. Along with his brother Gideon, Zak and Acadia fight to escape the people who are determined to see them dead. Hush takes you on a journey of danger, passion, heartbreak and a new sense of perception that will leave you wondering what’s next.
