Lore — aka James Frey and Jobie Hughes — has written a gripping alien tale that reads like a Michael Bay movie — one which will soon come to a screen near us, complete with Megan Fox counterpart, though thankfully there seems to a be a more fully fleshed-out female character on the horizon. The action is pulse-pounding and surrounded by an imaginative backstory in this fun alien tale.

John and his guardian Henri arrive in Paradise, Ohio, hoping for a respite. They’ve been on the run for years, having fled their home planet Lorien with eight other pairs as it was destroyed by evil aliens, who are hunting them still. Thanks to a charm, the survivors can only be killed in numerical order. But with number three dead, John is next. John just wants a chance to be settle down, get the girl and develop his powers.
