Mia Luchese and Colin Foxe meet under extreme circumstances. She is being held hostage and he is the Los Angeles Police SWAT team leader who rescues her. Their brief affair is broken off by Colin, who has no intention of getting involved with a human, since he's a Clan vampire.

Mia has heard about, but not taken seriously, her family's dark heritage as vampire hunters. And Colin finds that distance isn't helping him get over his attraction to Mia. It's gotten so bad he's been shadowing her. Fortunately, he's nearby when Mia is attacked and is able to drive off the Tribe vampire. Suddenly, both Mia and Colin are forced to reveal the secrets of their heritage. Can these two historic enemies overcome the odds?

Trying to co-exist in the human world can be complicated for Clan vampires. Sizemore's sizzling series gets more intriguing as it reveals more about this unique world. Hot romance and intense passions fuel this book and make it a memorable read. (Apr., 336 pp., $6.99)
