As doctors sharing a group practice and married life, Brock and Erika seem to have a perfect life. But their ideal world is soon broken, and neither one knows where to go next. The crisis that this story is based upon is real, but Brock's response is maddening, and his refusal to communicate is frustrating for the reader as well as Erika.

Dr. Erika Johnson has no idea why her husband, Brock, moved out of their home. Even going so far as filing for divorce, she decides eventually that she wants to save her marriage and discovers that Brock is battling cancer.

But the doctor that she began dating during their separation refuses to step aside. Will she stay with Brock because she truly loves him, or is guilt the overriding factor? And should she battle through his fear or give herself a new chance at happiness? (DAFINA, Sep., 288 pp., $6.99)
