The opening of Morgan’s Montgomery Mansion series highlights her sensational sense of humor and development of colorful characters, pitch-perfect relationships and daring plot twists. The family dynamics in this quirky, romantic story are consistently surprising and occasionally deeply moving and the chemistry of the main couple is irresistible from their first witty exchange to the final touching scene. Best of all is the growth of the characters not only as a couple but as individuals.

Amy Sanders is back in Ransom Creek, Conn., to be a nanny for the wealthy Montgomery family — the same job her mother held before her. Being home is wonderful, but it also reminds Amy of what she left Ransom Creek to escape. When she meets the new chauffeur, Jake Lucas, Amy can’t resist the chemistry that flares between them. A former stunt driver, Jake left Hollywood after crashing and burning, literally, and is desperate to do whatever he can to get back. But Amy’s sunny personality makes him look for reasons to stay right by her side. (CARINAPRESS.COM, dl $3.99)
