This book's plot will keep readers guessing what could have happened to Rebecca. And with a full cast of characters, there are plenty of suspects with sinister motives. However, the story ends without a conclusion — it just stops mid-scene. I'm all for cliffhangers, but this one is just too abrupt to be intriguing.

High school teacher Sara McMillan is trying to return items that her neighbor Rebecca bought in a storage unit auction, including some very erotic, personal journals. In her quest to find Rebecca, Sara finds herself thrown into the art world with plenty of questions. Where is Rebecca? Who is the dangerous man from the journals? Should she trust the sinfully handsome art gallery owner, Mark, or Chris, the super sexy artist? (SELF-PUBLISHED, Aug., dl., $3.99)
