IF THE SHOE FITS
by Megan Mulry

Genre: Contemporary Romance, General Contemporary Romance
Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

Mulry’s second book in her chick lit-style series about finding Prince Charming has the elements for great contemporary romance — good shoes, a sexy bad boy and a fun, young tone. The story goes off the rails as it becomes a series of hook- ups and breakups with a plot that has the tension of a used rubber band and characters with flaws as superficial as the book itself.

Sarah James, the successful leader of a shoe empire, meets sexy ne’er-do-well Devon Heyworth at the wedding of her best friend and his brother, the Duke. Sarah decides Devon is just the man to rid her of her virginity, and he does so splendidly. Their fling becomes more, until misunderstandings tear them apart. Brought together for the christening of the newest Heyworth, Sarah and Devon connect again, only to have it destroyed when she finds out he’s been meddling in her business. After a little help from friends and family, Sarah and Devon realize that they are a forever kind of couple. (SOURCEBOOKS, Jul., 320 pp., $14.99)
