The second in Galen’s Jewels of the Ton series is a gem of a read, and Galen is at the top of her game. The suspense builds alongside the passion as her three-dimensional characters are trapped in an adventure-filled labyrinth. Galen is a grand mistress of the action/adventure subgenre.

As one of three famous courtesans, dubbed the Marchioness of Mystery by the Prince Regent, Fallon is worshiped by men. The clever woman evades serious relationships, keeping her background and past a secret. Warrick Fitzhugh is determined to find the killer responsible for targeting him and his fellow spies. He is also determined to seduce or blackmail Fallon into helping him catch London’s most notorious crime lord. Fallon’s past and Fitzhugh’s present merge as they are dragged into London’s perilous underworld, where passion and love are their only weapons against an insidious evil.
