I'LL BE YOUR EVERYTHING
Murray’s heroine is sharp-tongued but totally lovable. She’s smart enough to grab the attention of another exec from a competing firm and the game is on. The story is fast moving, laugh-out-loud funny and smart.
Shari has been supplying the ideas for winning ad campaigns to her boss Corinne for five years, and when the opportunity arises for her to land an account on her own, she grabs it. During her trip to the client’s site, she meets her boss’s boyfriend, Tom. They’ve never met, but they’ve been phone buddies for years and now she’s just praying that he doesn’t blow her cover. Unbeknownst to her, Tom knows exactly who she is and how much of Corinne’s work Shari has done the whole time. He picks this time to reveal himself because he’s ready to start his own agency and he wants Shari beside him, in all ways. (DAFINA, Mar., 359 pp., $15.00)
