IMMORTAL EVER AFTER
Sands offers up another diverting story featuring the immortal Argeneau family and their friends and relatives. The hero and heroine are a delight together, and though the villain is certainly the bad guy, he is not necessarily intrinsically evil, and there is a nice thread of humor throughout the story. The ending in particular is sure to please.
Kidnapped and placed with a group of women who are used as a food source by a madman, veterinarian Valerie Moyer is in the process of escaping when rescue arrives. When Valerie passes out, handsome enforcer Anders Andronnikov, driven by the conviction that she is his lifemate, spirits her away to the home of Lucien Argeneau. Soon, she is befriended by Lucien’s very pregnant wife and amazed by how strongly attracted to Anders she is. Because of the time she spends with him and his friends, it is not all that difficult for her to accept Anders’ immortality. But the rogue who first abducted Valerie is still out there and wants to kill her. (AVON, Mar., 384 pp., $7.99)
