AN INCONVENIENT AFFAIR (4) by Catherine Mann: Hillary Wright has been known for her bad taste in men, but when she is called as a witness in her latest ex’s fraud trial, she knew she’s hit rock bottom, despite the charming man who was casually flirting with her on her flight to Washington. Troy Donavan is charming, but he isn’t ready to tell Hillary he’s also been assigned to keep her safe until the trial — not when the pretty witness stirs something he’s forgotten exists. Mann’s tight plot, enchanting characters and rich atmosphere make for a delightful mix in this light and witty tale.
