Heitzmann returns to the setting of her previous book, Indivisible, for another intriguing romance. It’s a bit difficult to grasp where the author is heading with the villain at first, but ultimately the ending is satisfying.

High Country outfitter Trevor McDaniel saves Natalie Reeves’ nephew literally from the jaws of a mountain lion. Trevor is immediately drawn to Natalie, an artist with a photographic memory that only finds release in sculpting. Yet someone unknown to them has set his sights on Trevor and begins to send photos of children in danger. Can Trevor find the culprit before he goes after Natalie? (WATERBROOK, May, 336 pp., $13.99)
