This captivating read is a welcome addition to the genre. It is a well-written story with solid characters and seeds of faith throughout. In a mysterious and beautiful setting like Louisiana, there are all sorts of places to hide secrets in the bayou.

Rafe Baxter is an FBI agent on the path to a big promotion if he can just solve a cold case involving the murder of a federal judge. His investigation leads him to a small town in Louisiana and more questions than answers. To Remington Wyatt, Daniel was much more than a federal judge. He was her godfather.
