It is time for someone else to take the guise of the "Saint of Seven Dials," the legendary Robin Hood-style hero of London's poor. The mantle falls to Noel Paxton, a Bow Street Runner who is to capture the thief, not become him. But Noel has an ulterior motive: to expose a dangerous spy.

Meanwhile, Rowena Riverstone arrives in London to meet William Corbett, the editor of the Political Register to which she submits controversial political articles under the name MRR. The articles lead Noel to believe she is connected to the traitor. Noel doesn't have time to fall in love, and Rowena appears to be the last person in the world he might desire, but passion flares and they find themselves caught up in the chase.

This is a fast-paced, light and lovely read that will satisfy followers of the Saint's activities, reintroduce the previous Saints and unveil a delightful new couple. Hiatt brings the Regency to life with her fine character portrayals and charming love stories. SENSUAL (Feb., 380 pp., $5.99)
