INSANITY
by Susan Vaught

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

RT Rating

Insanity has the chilling, creepy effect of a classic horror novel. Told from multiple perspectives, the narration can be confusing, but it still offers an effective window through which readers can watch multiple layers of the story unfold, including creepy history, terrifying action and a bit of romance. Though not groundbreaking, horror fans will enjoy this one.

Forest signed up to work at Lincoln Psychiatric so she could pay for college and leave Never, Ky., for good. But Lincoln isn’t just home to unruly patients: Dark forces lurk in the corridors, and Forest finds that a centuries-old conflict has her destined to hunt these dangerous spirits. She and her unlikely companions dig deep into the history of Never to defeat the ghosts that threaten their family, friends and Never itself.
