Terrelle Chambers has been with her boyfriend, Marquise, since she was a teenager. While they've had their ups and downs, Terrelle knows they're meant for each other. But when Kai Montgomery sets her sights on Marquise, the past may not be enough for them to sustain their future together.

Hobbs creates a perfect balance between the secondary and primary characters. In a novel with so many characters, it's difficult to keep some from overshadowing others, but this author pulls it off without difficulty. Several plots keep this novel moving, without causing confusion. Insatiable's surprise ending is also enjoyable. (Nov. '04, 320 pp., $15.00)
