AN IRISH CHRISTMAS
by Melody Carlson

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

Carlson's sweet Christmas tale will touch readers with the love of family. The 1960s setting provides an apt backdrop for the conflict between mother and son, but the time period is irrelevant when it comes to family relationships. What the story lacks in depth is made up for by the beautifully described Irish setting.

In the year since Colleen's husband died, her relationship with her college-age son Jamie has grown more distant. She knows Jamie would rather play music than go to business school as his father wished, but as his parents, they know what is best for their son. Jamie would rather find his own way
in the world. Can a trip to Ireland for Christmas heal their relationship? (REVELL, Sep., 192 pp., $14.99)
