Hospice nurse Teresa Lewis is quite pleased when her life changes direction. She receives a grant that will allow her to write historical literature with a focus on African-Americans in aviation. She is loaned a cabin for as long as she needs to research and write the two books in her contract. She quickly falls in love with the cabin and the two huge dogs that make their presence known immediately. It turns out the dogs belong to her closest neighbor, Mr. Gray.

Before Teresa is even able to settle into a routine, a powerful snowstorm hits and a plane crashes nearby. Hoping that there are survivors she can save, Teresa gathers a sled and heads toward the smoke and fire. Mr. Gray also shows up, and the two of them get a severely injured man back to her cabin so that she can nurse him back to health.

While trying to find out the man's identity, Teresa learns a shocking truth. When he wakes up, he is blind and has amnesia. Teresa decides to hold back the information about his identity for as long as possible and nicknames him Trey. But by doing this, she creates more problems. The two begin to develop a strong bond, with love advancing at a warm and nurturing pace.

In the fourth book of Starr's Love Found series, Trey and Teresa run along a path of hurt that will burn them forever, depending on their internal strength. Starr gets extra credit for drawing such a compassionate story. (May, 220 pp., $9.95)
