ISLAND OF DESIRE
by Lorie O'Clare

Genre: Erotic Romance, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense

RT Rating

There’s more steam than plot in this story and though the characters are likable enough and the sex is plentiful, the mystery is less than intriguing.

Mark Tripp, Jr. returns to his family’s island home to help his father’s newest money-making venture, which culminates in a male beauty pageant. It’s a sexy, sultry island nest and the only thing he needs is a beautiful woman for some sexy play. Enter pageant director Andrea Denton, who’s smart, sexy and knows what she wants and doesn’t hesitate to tell him. Andrea’s not into relationships, but an erotic rendezvous is different and Mark’s certainly not opposed. Then, when a series of suspicious accidents disrupts the pageant, their tropical retreat suddenly becomes sinister and sex is the last thing on his mind — almost. (APHRODISIA, Jan., 320 pp., $14.00)
