IT ALL BEGAN IN MONTE CARLO
Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction
Adler stirs up the already muddy relationship between Sunny Alvarez and her soul mate, TV detective Mac Reilly. Even though the story focuses on Sunny’s adventures without Mac, it’s almost as much fun to watch these two battle as it is to watch them make up. And the mystery subplot is not bad either!
With their wedding on hold again as Mac takes another case, Sunny leaves her engagement ring and heads to France. After meeting a sexy stranger on the flight, she goes to an exclusive Monte Carlo hotel and is pulled into the intrigue surrounding some robberies. Soon Sunny’s sorting out her life with the help of movie star Allie Ray, and Allie’s buddy Pru. And, let’s not forget Kitty, the sociopath who suddenly wants to be Sunny’s BFF and Eddie, the sexy stranger with problems. When Mac tracks Sunny down he’ll do anything to save their relationship. It looks like he’ll have to solve a few crimes and save her life along the way. (ST. MARTIN'S, Jun., 384 pp., $25.99)
