Shalvis’ latest addition to her Lucky Harbor series is a winner. Full of her trademark fast-paced dialogue, readers will laugh out loud as they rush to turn the pages. Her main characters are awesome, both troubled and strong, and they have enough sizzle between them to set the pages aflame.

Ali Winters is having a bad day. She just found out her boyfriend is cheating on her with half the female population of Lucky Harbor, she might be losing her job and, to top it all off, she is suspected of stealing money. Enter her only hope: Luke Hanover, a cop just looking for some peace of mind. He stumbles back into his hometown after a high-profile case goes wrong, and he is determined not to get involved — but he is just as drawn to Ali as she is to him. Even as the passion sparks between them, Luke is determined to keep it casual. That is, until the mystery surrounding the missing money heats up and Luke and Ali’s relationship is put to the test.
