O’Riley’s holiday-themed Regency is a pleasant blend of familiar characters and an unexpected romance between unlikely people in the last installment of the five Hamilton Sisters Series. Readers will enjoy the sweet tale of the magic of Christmas that lifts the spirits.

Lisette has known for a very long time exactly what — and who — she wants in life. But on a cold winter’s day, she gets knocked off her feet and thrown into a whirlwind of hidden desires and secret longings.

Just like one of his architectural drawings Quinton Roxbury’s life is well mapped. Due to marry a duke’s daughter, he will take his place in politics. But after bumping into Lisette, his plans don’t seem so perfect. Both engaged to others, there is no way to be together without a huge scandal. It will take a dash of yuletide magic to set things right. (ZEBRA, Oct., 352 pp., $6.99)
