Danielle rushes to Italy, where her father has been hospitalized with a head injury, and finds herself drawn to his doctor--Carlo Rossi. Carlo is equally attracted to Danielle, especially when she is injured saving his daughter. She moves in with him, but while she starts off as The Italian Doctor's Mistress (1), it quickly becomes more and Carlo has to decide if he's going to take another chance on love. Catherine Spencer's latest is a disappointing read. There's a disconnect between the characters and, at times, they're wooden and not likeable at all. The story is lackluster and there's just not much to recommend of this read.
