Jack Riordan's Baby (2), by Anne Mather, weaves elements of romance and suspense with the story of Jack and Rachel Riordan, a couple estranged by their failure to have a child. Confronted with her husband's alleged infidelity, Rachel attempts one last seduction. But Jack's secret is not what she thinks and, in her quest to renew their love, she could lose her life. While Jack and Rachel are each likeable, attractive characters, they are stuck in a plot with far too many holes to maintain the reader's interest.
