A high-spirited executive is stunned when a teenager barges into her office claiming that shes her daughter. It seems that JESSIES FATHER (1) is an ex-lover who never revealed the identity of the girls mother. While C. J. Carmichaels characters are individually engaging, the hero and heroine spend far too much of the book disliking each other and rehashing old hurts.
