JOURNEY OF HOPE (4) by Debbie Kaufman: In desperate need of money, Stewart Hastings takes a job exploring for minable geological deposits in the West African jungle in 1920. Needing a guide, he finds that the only person willing to brave the cannibals is Anna Baldwin, a missionary to a tribe living in the exact area Stewart needs to explore. Anna paves the way for him to meet with the tribal chieftain, but things don’t go quite as either Stewart or Anna planned. The author brings to life an intriguing story of the dangers that face those who are dedicated to spreading God’s word. The hero’s struggle to understand the heroine’s faith is well done.
