JUST A COWBOY
JUST A COWBOY (3) by Rachel Lee: After her estranged husband tries to have her murdered, Kelly Scanlon flees Miami. She winds up renting a dilapidated house from Hank Jackson, a former firefighter who decided to become a rancher after a tragic accident claimed the life of a loved one. The characters are believable and compelling, but the suspense element of the novel lacks intensity. The pace of the opening chapters is too slow, and the tension throughout the story is minimal.
