Mayla Strong is not your typical Christian, with her purple hair and piercings, but her heart is as sincere anyone's. She is determined to serve God and grow in her newfound faith, but it seems that her first tests are too much for her to bear. But God doesn't give up on her,
and she eventually stays the course.

In just a short time, Mayla's dedication to God helps set in motion changes in many of the lives she comes in contact with, from her bitter and hurt roommate to her annoying co-worker. Mayla witnesses how God can and does move in the lives of those who love him.

Smith writes with wit and honesty
in this chick lit parable for walking in faith in a lost and dying world. Too
many changed lives happen in just
a short amount of time to make it
plausible, but this author's fresh and unique approach to sharing the gospel facilitates the story flow nicely. (Mar., 224 pp., $12.99)
