THE KEEPERS (4.5) by Heather Graham: As keeper of the vampires in New Orleans, Fiona MacDonald’s job is to settle vampire disputes and keep her charges in line. When a killer strikes, she must work with vampire detective Jagger DeFarge to stop a murderer who targets young blondes and leaves them dead and drained atop crypts in the city cemeteries. Although her sisters and fellow keepers (werewolves and shapeshifters) don’t trust Jagger, Fiona knows he’s a good man. The two form an attraction while working to keep their city safe from a foe they can’t find. The Keepers is original and exciting. Constant tension — both dangerous and sexual — will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
