KEPT IN THE DARK
KEPT IN THE DARK (3) by Heather MacAllister: As the daughter of two jewel thieves, it’s only logical that Kaia Bennet would become a cat burglar herself. She falls into the arms of handsome undercover cop Blake McCauley, who arrests her (she is a criminal, after all). Six years later, she’s out of prison and trapped in a house with Blake during a blackout. They might be able to put aside their differences long enough to go bump in the night, but is that where their chemistry ends? High on the suspense scale, the romantic elements build up too slow (at least in comparison to other Blaze titles). Also, readers expecting a typical “happily ever after” ending will likely be disappointed.
