Jones concludes her Project Universe series with this fun, fast-paced tale. Ashe is a tough, no-frills heroine with plenty of spunk and a lovable companion, her nanite Lurch, who steals the show with his snark. Filled with plenty of humor and sexual tension, this quick read is ideal for lovers of sci fi romance.

When Time Service member Ashe is swept up in a time tsunami, she ends up on a desolate planet with a broken time tracker suit and failing technology. Ashe —  and her internal sidekick Lurch — is about to become a victim of time’s cruel hand when she stumbles upon Vidor and his crew. Vidor’s maurauding men are incredibly interested in Ashe, but the only person that she’s interested in is their captain, and unfortunately time’s rules make him off limits. Lost in time and space, with a slim chance of surviving on her own, Ashe agrees to help Vidor escape the Zelk aliens who want him dead in exchange for the spaceman’s aid. Too bad all she can think about is having her way with Vidor. (L&L DREAMSPELL, Feb. 2012, dl., $4.99)
