Tessa Blake is about to marry a man she doesn't love when Griff Ledoux—the one that got away—shows up and carries her off. KIDNAPPING HIS BRIDE (1) is a complex story that needs many more pages to be told adequately. As it stands, Hayley Gardner's story is confusing and inconsistent; with flawed logic, the solution to the mystery makes little sense and the final resolution is not satisfying. Furthermore, readers will have as much difficulty forgiving Tessa for her unjustified deception as Griff will. (#1598)
