Divorced with no children, Suzanne Chauvin has been waiting to adopt and vows not to spend another holiday season without children. When her wishes come true, she relies on neighbor
Tom Stefanec to help make her first Christmas with the children special. Tom, having admired Suzanne from afar for several years, jumps in to help, in true neighborly fashion. Janice Kay Johnson's Kids by Christmas (3) is
a pleasant story. Suzanne's attempts to make a home for her adopted children are touching, and Johnson's depiction
of the newly budding romance between Suzanne and Tom is realistic, as are the problems encountered by the new family.
