KILLING BRIDEZILLA
by Laura Levine

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth

RT Rating

Brides gone crazy are all over the media these days, and Levine takes that idea and turns it into an interesting and humorous mystery. It's hard to pick the killer from the numerous suspects, but the secondary characters' silly e-mails add nothing to the story.

Full-time writer and part-time sleuth Jaine Austen is surprised to hear from Patti Marshall. Patti, the onetime ringleader of the mean girls in high school, wants to hire Jaine to write her vows for her upcoming wedding. It isn't long before Jaine realizes that Patti hasn't changed; in fact she's meaner than ever! When the bride-to-be is murdered, Jaine soon discovers that many people wanted to kill Patti. Jaine has to use all of her detecting skills to find the real killer. (KENSINGTON, Jun., 256 pp., $22.00)
