Today, Knox is the chief county investigator and someone has stolen the time capsule. Soon after, he learns that a local attorney has been murdered. At the crime scene, FBI agent Nikita Stover approaches Knox and he immediately suspects there's something wrong with her. But he never could have imagined that Nikita is from two hundred years in the future.

When someone tries to kill Nikita at the crime scene, she realizes that her entire mission has been compromised and that someone from the future FBI is trying to kill her. With her life and her mission in jeopardy, Nikita is going to have to trust that Knox can accept the truth and provide backup.
