Subtle is not a word that will be associated with this third entry in the King brothers’ saga. It’s amazing the depth this story reaches, even though it’s based on a one-night stand. It is truly impressive how the author ties all of the plot threads together in a believable way.
As Jeremy King meets, falls in lust with and spends an amazing night with Leigh Matthews, he manages to fall down the same rabbit hole as his brothers. Confirmed bachelors do not last long in this series. This couple goes from 0 to 120 in moments, and the ramifications and recriminations are numerous. Throw in the fact that Leigh is involved with someone from Jeremy’s past and the twists to this story become more fascinating. (KIMANI/ARABESQUE, Dec., 280 pp., $6.99)
