It is time for the third Chase Muse to find the man of her dreams in a tale of antiquities, theft and passion. This addition to the series will please readers who have followed the sisters on their adventures. Though the characters are charming, the story holds no surprises with its two-dimensional villains and simplistic mystery.

Thalia Chase loves writing and performing plays more than the antiquities that fascinate her family. She is happy to accompany her sister, who is recuperating from childbirth, on a trip to Bath. She is sad to leave Count Marco behind in Sicily. Thalia has no idea that Marco is headed for Bath following the conniving Lady Riverton, who he believes is involved in antiquities thefts. When Thalia discovers what Marco is doing, she becomes a true Chase, vowing to help him uncover a cache of stolen silver artifacts. The trail leads them from pub rooms to ballrooms to excavation sites, where danger hides and desire runs deep. (HARLEQUIN, Jun., 300 pp., $5.99)
