Getting her aunt to the Seven Devils Ranch proves challenging for Lyric Gibson. Lyric isn't looking forward to facing cowboy Trevor Dalton there, either. It's instantly clear that Trevor hasn't forgotten their ill-fated romance,
and won't forgive Lyric's lies. In the end, only Lyric's willingness to help some total strangers convinces Trevor to
consider sharing more than A Kiss
in the Moonlight
(3) with her. Though Laurie Paige makes good
use of already-established characters and setting, it's hard to understand
why Lyric's attraction to Trevor is more than physical—his attitude and stubbornness are a definite detriment.
