THE KYRIAKOS VIRGIN BRIDE
There's not much to like about Tessa Radley's The Kyriakos Virgin Bride (2). When wealthy Zac Kyriakos seeks a virgin bride because family legend says she'll remain true, he winds up with a woman who's concealed a past indiscretion. Pandora Armstrong feels betrayed when she finds out her marriage is no love match. When her "indiscretion" turns out to be her new brother-in-law and the newspapers get hold of the story, the marriage is threatened. Though the characters are richly drawn, it's difficult to warm up to them, and the premise feels contrived.
